Huge congratulations to Dave Baxter who completed the Robin Hood 100 over the weekend of 15th/16th September. What a massive achievement to have joined such a select group of endurance runners. This was the culmination of months of training and preparation and to complete the race at all, never mind in under 24 hours is an unbelievable achievement. Here is Dave's race report (brief as ever):
I did the Robin Hood 100 at the weekend finishing in 22nd place (125 entrants with 32 DNF’s) in a time of 23hrs 33 minutes. It was a great event, really well managed and marshalled (if anyone fancies it…).
All went fairly well apart from vomiting at 70 and 82 miles I still managed to get done and under my 24 hour target. Lots to learn and take from the run and feeling quite chipper a few days down the line. Onwards and upwards!
Dave was also raising money for Multiple Sclerosis Society because his wife Sarah runs the York Branch physio class. You are still able to donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/daveb-robinhood100
