We are sure that you are aware that from Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December the UK government is requiring everyone to stay at home except for specific purposes and not to mix with people from other households, again except for specific purposes. England Athletics have reviewed the Government requirements and issued new guidance accordingly.
The guidance prohibits indoor and outdoor track and field competition, cross country and road races and all outdoor and indoor coached training activities. The full impact of their guidelines can be seen here.
How does this affect the Tadcaster Harriers? It means that we cannot continue with the organised weekly training runs. The Government restrictions during Lockdown 2.0 only allow outdoor exercise with one other person if they are not in your household, or in your support bubble.
We plan on returning to the planned weekly runs as soon as the guidance allows us to do so. In the meantime if you would like to meet up with another club member for a run please feel free to use the club social media pages to advertise for a running buddy.
We look forward to meeting again soon!
