'Glastonbury for Runners'
The Endure 24 is a 24 Hour race that takes place over the last weekend in June at Bramham Park.
Running laps of approximately 5 miles, you can enter as a solo runner, in pairs, teams of three to five (males, females or mixed) or teams of six to eight runners (males, females or mixed!)
The idea is that you run as many laps of the course as you can, starting at 12 noon on the Saturday and finishing at 12 noon on the Sunday.
How you do it is up to you and your team. Whether you run one, two or three (or even more) laps is up to you, your fitness and how you are feeling. Running a lap at night-time is an experience not to be missed.
What makes the weekend special is the camaraderie of the club. Some of us arrive on the Friday evening and make a weekend of the event. There is plenty of time to socialise and make new friends. The camping is free and you can bring your wives, girlfriends (or both!). Or why not make a holiday of it and bring the family! We had a few runners at the 2018 event who brought their families! There is plenty for them to do and keep them occupied. There is even a kids race (only about one mile though!)
If you fancy this race, have a chat with anyone who was there this year and they will tell you what an awesome time they have had
