Tadcaster Harriers has been active in ensuring that it can deliver safe and fun running sessions, suitable for abilities.
Several of our members have attended the Leadership in Running Fitness (LIRF) course provided by Run England and recognised as the most appropriate coaching qualification for our club. The course is designed to prepare running leaders to provide a safe and enjoyable running experience for adults of any ability, size or shape.

In addition we also have two Coaches in Running Fitness - Glen Johnson & Andrew Sloan. This 4 day course build on the skills acquired on the LIRF course and teaches how to coach endurance running on a variety of surfaces, how to plan a progressive training programme for runners, helping them to develop towards their specific goal.
